For my readers that aren’t as travel obsessed as me, you are probably thinking I’m about to talk about some kind of foot rash but for those who are stuck in locked down countries endlessly dreaming of adventure, well this may be the most relatable post yet.
I feel like I’ve been a bit stuck in a pit recently, I work endless hours during the week to dread the boredom that strikes on an empty weekend. It’s not like I’ve even got anything to be unhappy about, I’m just desperate to experience fun, freedom and adventure again. Like many, I am so done with endless lockdowns and restrictions – I don’t feel it’s right that I get excited to go for a food shop as it means I can leave the flat. One good thing I can take from this is that I know I’m not done travelling and I’m currently planting some foundations to make it more of a lifestyle rather than the quit my job and leave everything that I usually do when the itchy feet (get me out of here!) feeling looms.
I WILL start making time to write again, even if it means I can live through my past experiences while the world sorts itself out. In the meantime, I’m calling on all expats/nomadas to please give me some advice on how on earth you build a life and relationships while working and living in a new place!?
In the next week I will continue my South America travel diary, next up is my short but sweet trip to Ecuador!
